Aunt alphie strikes again! social ettiquite

Now children, gather round and let me tell you a simple lesson you'll need to soak into your pretty lil grey matter. Ready? We're not in high school anymore, you're not 15 and idol gossip and bitchiness is not tolerated.

More then likely, the art community in your town is small and cosy, people generally support each other, or at the least, people cross paths. Whispers get around and people talk... good or bad. number one rule to keep your nose clean, is to keep your mouth shut. You don't like the way your make up was done? keep it to yourself. Don't like someone for any reason what so ever? keep it to yourself. You could be completely in the right and have every reason to complain or bitch, but it's still complaining and bitching. And at the end of the day you come off looking just as bad as the person who did wrong.

Social media is a curse, it's too easy to vent one's opinions, but remember, there's always a friend or a fan of a colleague who's watching what you type. i've found, it's easier to stand back and asses the situation. Are you bugged by that person because of jealousy or because they actually mistreated you? in the case of jealousy, use it to your advantage, find what it is about them your jealous of and improve yourself, learn from them. people are willing to teach, you just need to sit back and listen. If they genuinely mistreated you, simple, avoid them. Don't work with them, they'll soon enough mistreat others and people will wake up to their attitude without you having to drag their name through the mud and dirty your own hands in the process.
